FenceMate is a platform that facilitates fencing project agreements and escrow payments between neighbours and builders. FenceMate itself does not build fences, hold funds, or provide dispute resolution services beyond facilitating communication.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. FenceMate is not liable for unauthorised access to your account.
Payments made through FenceMate are held in a holding account on behalf of the participating neighbours. Funds are released to the builder according to the agreed payment schedule once both neighbours confirm work completion, or upon expiry of the dispute window.
FenceMate is not a bank or licensed financial institution. Use of the platform is at your own risk.
If a neighbour raises a dispute within the 7-day window, funds remain held while the parties attempt to resolve the issue directly. FenceMate will provide available evidence (photos, messages, quote documents) to assist resolution but does not arbitrate or make binding decisions.
Builders must hold appropriate licences and insurance for fencing work in their jurisdiction. FenceMate does not verify builder credentials and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any work performed.
Neighbours are responsible for reviewing quotes, photos, and payment terms before approving. Once funds are released, they cannot be recalled through the platform.
FenceMate's liability is limited to the amount of fees paid through the platform. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
We collect your email address and project information to operate the service. We do not sell your data to third parties. Email addresses are used only for project communications and verification.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FenceMate after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
